The client is a leading conventional wholesale bank providing structured financing and advisory services for corporate and institutional customers in various sectors, including oil and gas, petrochemicals, aircraft and ships.


The client's Block/Unblock account request process was a high impact process involving manual data inputs by staff members following strict timelines and adherence criteria. The process lacked consistency, accuracy and efficiency. Some of the major challenges they faced were:

  • Almost 3000 request a day made it tough to close it on the same day with the existing manual process
  • Incurring penalties from the Central Bank for non-performance, delays and on information security
