The process involves the periodical update of the Fire Insurance policy and collateral valuation details on the collateral that the Banks obtain as securities against credit facilities. The solution enabled complete automation of the Maker and Checker activities with necessary due diligence. Automation of this process eliminated the huge backlog the bank was struggling to handle and also drastically reduced the turnaround time for updating the values to the Core Banking Solution (CBS).

The BOT logs into the Document Management portal to read the bills and receipts along with the bank statements. Further the BOT tries to match the expenses based on Payee details, Description, Date and Amount.
The Central Bank of Bahrain recently issued a circular concerning the strict adherence to the SLA to enable blocking and unblocking process for the banks and insurance companies. Failure to adhere to the SLA will result in heavy penalties for the BFSI companies.
